Warranty

Durations, and the limits that come with them

A warranty whose limits are hidden is not a warranty, it is a number. Both lists are published together.

Welded structure (truss)2 yearsManufacturing and welding defects. Covers the part, not the strike or the freight.
Connectors and fasteners2 yearsCones, pins, clips. Excludes normal wear and parts refitted after repair.
Clamps and mechanical accessories1 yearBody, jaws, swivels. The load marking must remain legible.
Wear parts1 yearSlings, straps, covers, castors. Replaced on wear, not on failure.

What voids it

These five situations take a part out of warranty. None is a formality: each matches a failure mode a structure does not forgive.

  • Load above the current load chart, or span outside the chart.
  • Drilling, welding, grinding or any modification of the part.
  • Impact, drop, crushing in transit, or immersion.
  • Corrosion by chemical agent, salt water or an incompatible cleaning product.
  • No annual inspection record for a load-bearing part.

What keeps it

The mirror list, and the more useful of the two. It comes down to three habits, and it costs less than the first replacement it avoids.

  • A recorded annual inspection, dated and signed, on every load-bearing part.
  • Original connector parts: a cone adapted from another brand voids the warranty on the joint.
  • Transport in a dolly or a case rather than loose: most damage happens on the ground.
